This is Step 2 in the 3 Steps to your own Photography Website series.
Once you have selected a domain name and signed up for a hosting account, it’s time to install WordPress to get your site up and running. ?Log in to BlueHost?using the account you have just created for yourself. ?About half way down the page is a section called Mojo Marketplace. ?Click on One-Click Installs?from this section.
Then choose WordPress from the options under the heading Blogs & Website Builders.
It will take you to a webpage like the one below, click Install.
Next you?ll have to select your domain from the drop-down list. ?If you have only one, it should be selected for you already. ?Don’t touch the box on the right that has the word ‘directory’ in it. ?Now click Check Domain.
Here check the second box that says ?I have read the terms and conditions of the GPLv2? and click Install Now.
At the top of the window you will see a progress box as WordPress is installed for you.
You will get a completion notice at the top of your window when the install is done.
When you click on View Credentials take note of the Username, Password and Login URL (it is usually your blog?s domain followed by /wp-admin). ?Keep this information on hand ?because this is how you login to your website to add your information.
Your website has been created! ?At this point you can even go to www.yourdomain.com and check it out. There won’t be any information there yet, but you can still go there! ?How cool are you!
The next step is to choose your theme and write your first post!
